# ANKIROS 2026 will bring metallurgy technologies to Istanbul on 22–24 October

> The Istanbul Expo Center will host ANKIROS 2026, with steelmaking, foundry and non-ferrous metallurgy technologies alongside TURKCAST and the IMMC congress.

ANKIROS 2026 is scheduled for 22–24 October at the Istanbul Expo Center, bringing together equipment and technologies for iron and steel production, foundries and non-ferrous metallurgy. The exhibition will occupy halls 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, with visiting hours of 09:30–18:00.

The 17th edition, organised by Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., will cover melting and casting systems, steel production and process equipment, moulding and core-making machinery, sand preparation and reclamation, industrial furnaces and heat treatment. Refractories, automation, measurement and quality control, and environmental and filtration systems are also included in its scope.

## Production technologies and casting products

Energy efficiency, digitalisation, process optimisation, resource efficiency and low-carbon production are among the themes highlighted in the announcement. Furnace and thermal processing suppliers are expected to present burner technologies, heating and cooling systems, and temperature measurement and control equipment.

The TURKCAST Foundry Products Special Section will give casting producers serving sectors including automotive, machinery, energy, defence and transport a platform to present their products and manufacturing capabilities to international buyers.

## Congresses alongside the exhibition

The 23rd International Metallurgy and Materials Congress, IMMC 2026, is scheduled to run alongside ANKIROS at the Istanbul Expo Center on 22–24 October. Its announced subjects include sustainable metallurgy, critical raw materials, advanced materials and the circular economy.

Istanbul will also host the 76th World Foundry Congress on 18–24 October 2026. The source notes that the congress falls in the year of the World Foundry Organization’s centenary and the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Foundry Association, TÜDÖKSAD.

## Registration and international participation

Ozan Hünler, general manager of Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., said the 2024 exhibition had welcomed 1,137 exhibitors from 42 countries and more than 21,000 industry professionals. These figures describe the previous edition. For 2026, he highlighted plans to bring producers, technology suppliers, universities and international purchasing delegations together.
