Sacchelli’s August 2026 agreement covered all shares in Swiss Steel Brazil
The agreement announced on 2 August envisaged combining Sacchelli’s engineering steel distribution business with Swiss Steel Brazil’s tool and specialty steel expertise.
Aços F. Sacchelli announced on 2 August 2026 that it had signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Swiss Steel do Brasil Indústria e Comércio de Aços Ltda., the Brazilian subsidiary of Swiss Steel Group. Under that agreement, completion and the transfer of operations were subject to specified closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The planned combination brought together two areas of steel distribution: Sacchelli’s experience in steels for mechanical engineering and Swiss Steel Brazil’s expertise in tool and specialty steels. Managing Director Wagner Sacchelli said the integration was intended to provide customers with a broader range of products and services once the conditions had been met.
Swiss Steel Brazil’s portfolio included tool steels, high-speed steels and specialty grades used in moulds, punches, injection moulds and machine components.
